Our client was ready to say goodbye to her old-school, cramped kitchen and hello to something fresh, spacious, and way more handy for her crew. Picture a typical kitchen from the 80s or 90s: not enough room, short on storage, and just begging for some sunlight. Plus, there was this extra room just hanging out behind the kitchen, not really doing much for anyone. Curious what it looked like before? Check it out here.
Lucky for us, that extra room wasn't holding anything up, so down it went. Just like that, we scored more kitchen space and the perfect spot for a walk-in pantry (hello, storage!). And let's talk about light – we punched in some big windows in the kitchen and dining area, flooding the place with sunshine.
We kept the vibe consistent with the rest of the house, opting for classic white cabinets in the kitchen and pantry. Our client loves a good gathering around the island, so we made sure it was big, beautiful, and super functional – think prepping, storing, and doubling as a dining spot. We circled it with some gorgeous leather stools to add warmth and contrast.
The whole main floor got a flooring makeover with some soft brown vinyl plank that's tough enough for family life and a couple of pups. We spiced up the all-white kitchen with a mix of shapes and textures in the fixtures and furniture.
The client had a custom extendable table that we refinished in the same stain as the shelving by the stove hood to ensure visual consistency. Keeping in tune with a love for all things rustic and farmhouse, we kept it simple, neutral, and natural, transforming the space into a functional, stunning kitchen that's all set to make memories for years to come.
